Gallipolis, Ohio, is the county seat of Gallia County and was first settled by the French. Two bricks, of the three from Gallia County, are inscribed “E. Betz & Son, Gallipolis, O.” and were made during the 1800s in a foundry located on Cedar Street in Gallipolis. The third brick, imprinted with stars on either end, is from the floor of the old CSX Train Depot located on Third Avenue in the same city. | Gallia, pt 2
