Greene County is rich in cultural history. This rock came from Williamson Mound which was built over 2000 years ago by prehistoric Adena Indians. The mound stands 30 feet high and is more than 100 feet in diameter. It is one of only five such mounds left standing in Ohio which were believed to be either used for burial mounds or lookouts.
