Up Stones from the County Walk Prev Next Slideshow

This stone was taken from a piece of granite cut from the foundation of the Hamilton County courthouse. Dedicated on October 18, 1919, the courthouse is constructed of New Hampshire granite and Bedford limestone in a Renaissance revival style. Architect Samuel Hannaford and Sons precluded all flammable materials from construction because four previous courthouses had been destroyed by fire. | Hamilton
