This keystone comes from the former Knox County jail, which was built in 1913. The jail was replaced in 2002 by a new facility at a different location. The keystone was cut in Franklin County for its use at the jail and is fine grain limestone. Knox County ranks first in Ohio for raising sheep. It was named for Henry Knox, a War of 1812 veteran and the first United States Secretary of War. | Knox
