This granite piece was chosen to symbolize the flooring of the old 1884 Courthouse on which thousands of Seneca County residents and visitors to the county have traversed. The 1884 Seneca County Courthouse was designed by the late Elijah E. Myers. When asked to supply a stone, the Seneca County Commissioners were planning to demolish the old 1884 Courthouse and felt it appropriate to submit a stone representing the building. | Seneca
