Up Stones from the County Walk Prev Next Slideshow

This granite boulder was found in Swine Creek at the largest Metro Park in Trumbull County. The creek follows a course influenced by the Wisconsin glacier some 14,000 years ago, which rerouted ancient river courses, formed large glacial lakes and carved steep gorges. The glacier bulldozed through, then receded and left many beautiful types of granite behind in large deposits that our streams have carved out, exposing these ancient rocks. | Trumbull
