The DiSalle Family, 1959-1963

Michael DiSalle and his wife Myrtle moved into the Residence in 1959. The couple’s five grown children were frequent visitors. Wedding receptions were held at the Residence for two of the DiSalle’s daughters.

Senator John F. Kennedy visited the Residence in 1959. Governor DiSalle and the Rev. Martin Luther King met here in 1963.
