| The Robinson Ransbottom Pottery Co. was founded at the turn of the century by the Ransbottom brothers: Frank, Edwin (Ed), Charles (Johnie) and Morton (Mort). They purchased the Oval Ware and Brick Company in 1900 and began production in 1901 with local clays. The company was an instant and enduring success; although most Ohio potteries declined and closed due to the Depression and the advent of plastic, RRP Co. remains open to this day. |
