The Strickland Family, 2007-present
Ted and Frances Strickland moved into the residence in January 2007. The Stricklands are committed to continuing the work of the Tafts by stressing the historic importance of the Governor's Residence, and showcasing Ohio's culture, history, industry, and agriculture. They are also interested in furthering the educational potential of the Heritage Garden. In addition, they intend to highlight alternative energy resources through initiatives like the Solar Project and future plans for a green building extension to the Carriage House.
