Our Staff
Curator- Mary Alice Mairose is our historian, author, collections manager, archivist and educational program director. She has developed the Docent program and is currently editing a book on the residence and gardens.
- Rick Stanforth is working to finish the initial development of the Heritage Garden this year. He is refining the inmate apprenticeship program to provide better training for our grounds staff to ensure their future success. He is also developing the plant management and collections program, developing the Heritage Gardener volunteer program and building a network of public gardens, arboreta and nurseries.
- Julie Stone is the administrator. She books tours and events and maintains links to the city, state, garden clubs, Governor's Residence Foundation and many other interested groups She manages projects at the residence from the mundane plumbing and maintenance issues to the exciting growth of The Friends Group and lecture series.
- Kathy Bova schedules the volunteers for shifts, orientations and training.
- Phil Sager designed and currently maintains the Ohio Governor's Residence and Heritage Garden web site. He has an interest in bringing history to life by making historical resources available online, and providing a place for people to learn about and enjoy them.
